Neeraj Kumar, PhD
Postdoctoral Associate Researcher
Neeraj has PhD in Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience from National Brain Research Centre, India. Neeraj has worked on human auditory processing employing electrophysiology, multimodal neuroimaging (MRI, dWI, source) , tACS, neural signal processing and computational modelling. Neeraj Kumar's research focuses on the interdisciplinary study of speech processing and auditory perception. His work emphasizes the network-level representation of speech processing, exploring the functional brain networks involved in speech production. He is particularly interested in the computational potential of oscillations in the brain and how these oscillations facilitate the sequencing, planning and execution of cognitive events leading to fluent speech production. He spends his spare time reading about history, philosophy, new technology or lets say everything under the sun.
